Overview
Colossus opened in 2002 as the worlds first roller coaster with 10 inversions, a record held until 2013 when The Smiler opened at Alton Towers.
The rides theme is based on the ruins of a lost atlantean city with part of the roller coaster diving between the landscape. The ride contains a vertical loop, cobra roll, two corkscrews and five heartline rolls (four of which are inline). During construction, the project was known as Project Odyssey.
During the closed season in between 2023 and 2024 the ride received a partial retrack and repaint.

Bit of a UK classic this ride. The track is a lot smoother this year now they have re-tracked most of it however the trains need to be replaced. Would be great if they can bring in lap bars.
