Opened as the Pepsi Max Big One in 1994 as the tallest and steepest roller coaster in the world. It lost the tallest in the world title in 1996 but held on to the tallest in the UK until 2024.
The ride was sponsored by Pepsi Max until 2011.
In 2019 the ride started undergoing a retrack where sections have been replaced during the close season.
