Thunderlooper was first installed at Kings Dominion in Virginia USA and was briefly moved to a park in Maryland USA before being sold to Alton Towers where it opened in 1990. It was situated in what is now Forbidden Valley and the ride closed in 1996 and was moved to Hopi Hari in São Paulo, Brazil.
